How empowered teams take the emotional high ground to create breakthrough performance

It took two years of COVID-19 pandemic to usher in the great resignation. A worldwide phenomenon where people just voted with their feet to leave behind toxic workplaces, underpaid boring jobs, to find something with meaning and purpose.
COVID-19 brought into stark relief the utter failure of leaders across the board.
It also brought into light the unbelievable courage, skills, and tenacity of our frontline workers to deliver above and beyond the call of duty. Not for nothing did people clap worldwide, in some places like Paris every night, in recognition of these essential players keeping us safe, fed and supported.
The phrase that comes to mind is lions led by donkeys.
It is apt, I think, to describe the inability of organizations to adapt to the speed of change. Demonstrating a clear lack of leadership. Whilst people at the front line displayed uncommon valor in the face of great danger and personal loss.
Shock has become commoditized.
People have become bored and habituated to the failure of leadership.
It is no longer news.
